# How to Beat King Dodongo — Ocarina of Time remake

Infernal Dinosaur. Found in Dodongo's Cavern. Weakness: A bomb swallowed while he inhales. Bring: Bombs, Kokiri Sword, Deku Sticks, Hylian Shield.

1. Watch for King Dodongo to rear back and suck in air. That's your cue: he's about to breathe fire.
2. Toss a Bomb into his open mouth while he's inhaling. If you run short, pull a Bomb Flower instead.
3. If you miss, step sideways out of the flames. His fire burns a Deku Shield, so bring the Hylian Shield.
4. When the bomb goes off inside him, he collapses. Rush to his head and slash it, or jump-attack with a Deku Stick for extra damage.
5. After recovering, he curls into a ball and rolls around the arena. Tuck into a corner or crouch behind your shield until he stops.
6. Repeat the bomb-and-slash cycle. It takes a few rounds, fewer if you hit him with Deku Sticks.
