Quick answer

Hit Ganon where it's weak: his tail, after a Light Arrow to the face. Ganon knocks the Master Sword out of your hands, and a ring of fire traps you with him. Switch to Biggoron's Sword or the Megaton Hammer.

The fight, step by step

  1. Ganon knocks the Master Sword out of your hands, and a ring of fire traps you with him. Switch to Biggoron's Sword or the Megaton Hammer.

  2. Shoot a Light Arrow into his face to stun him; a Deku Nut works in a pinch.

  3. While he's stunned, roll past him and hit his tail, his only weak spot.

  4. Stay clear of his twin blades when he isn't stunned. Rolling under or past him gets you back to the tail.

  5. After enough tail damage he collapses. When Zelda tells you, go and pick up the Master Sword.

  6. Repeat the stun-and-tail pattern with the Master Sword. When Zelda holds him still, strike the final blow with it.

New in the remake: the Hall of Fallen Foes keeps a statue of every enemy you defeat, and lets you rematch some bosses.
